The Wrapped in Courage scarf is more than just a scarf. It is a sign for survivors of gender-based violence that they are not alone. Purchase and wear your purple scarf or tie this November during Woman Abuse Prevention month to show your commitment to ending femicide and all forms of gender-based violence. Proceeds from the sale of every scarf directly supports essential shelter and support services at Nova Vita.
What is Wrapped in Courage?
Wrapped in Courage is a province-wide campaign, coordinated by OAITH (Ontario Association of Interval & Transitional Houses). It was created as a means to educate our communities about violence against women and the need for increased services. The campaign engages local communities throughout November (Woman Abuse Prevention Month) to build awareness, connect survivors, and to call on decision-makers about the social change that is needed. As part of this campaign, Ontarians are encouraged to show their support for survivors of gender-based violence by wearing a purple scarf and attending a Wrapped in Courage flag raising and proclamation event in their community.
