Family Programs:
Differential Response
The Differential Response Program is a partnership with Child and Family Services of Grand Erie that provides wrap-around domestic violence prevention services for all members of a family. Nova Vita DV Workers provide brief intervention, support, referrals, and safety planning to the victim/survivor of domestic violence and separately to the perpetrator of domestic violence. This coordinated intervention ensures wrap-around service to all members of a family to reduce the risk the violence.
This program receives referrals only through Child and Family Services of Grand Erie.
Family Programs:
Child Witness
This group program is for children who have witnessed violence or abuse against their mothers. Children and adolescents, aged 4 to 16, meet in small age-appropriate groups to discuss the impact of the abuse they witnessed against their mother. At the same time, mothers attend their own separate sessions to address the impact of abuse on their children and themselves.
