On June 9, 1983, the very first night we opened our doors, we welcomed a woman and her two children into Nova Vita.

Since that first night, our services have expanded far beyond just being a safe shelter for women experiencing abuse. Our programs and services have grown tremendously over the years in response to the needs of our community and we now offer 33 emergency shelter beds, 8 transitional housing units, children’s programming, adult counselling, outreach support, public education and much more.

To honour 40 years of service in our communities, we are asking our supporters to donate $40 so that Nova Vita can continue offering life-saving and essential shelter services in Brantford and Brant County. Help us honour our past and build for our future as we work together to achieve our vision of a world where individuals, relationships, families, and communities are safe, empowered, and healthy.
