COVID-19 Outbreak Declared at Nova Vita

Brantford, ON – The Brant County Health Unit has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Nova Vita Domestic Violence Prevention Services.
Prior to receiving confirmation of the outbreak, Nova Vita began implementation of its COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan, working closely with the Brant County Health Unit to ensure appropriate measures were in place and continue to be in place in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the facility and in the community.
Nova Vita programs and services may be impacted in the following ways:
- 24 Hour Crisis and Support Phone & Text Line (519-752-HELP): will remain open
- 24 Hour Crisis and Support Web Chat: will remain open novavita.org/chat
- Emergency Shelter: will remain open
- Children’s Programs: will remain open for current residents
- Transitional Support Program: will remain open for outreach clients
- Community Counselling: will remain open for outreach clients
- Challenge to Change (PAR): will remain open for outreach clients via phone and Zoom
- Donations: will remain open by appointment only
- Volunteer Program:will continue as needed
- Closet Couture Boutique located at 415 Fairview Drive: will remain open
To help ensure that all vital programs and services continue to operate, all non-essential visitors and those with COVID symptoms are being asked not to visit the premises at this time.
