Family Programs
Nova Vita’s Family Programs offer counselling and support services for all members of the family who are experiencing high conflict or domestic violence.
Caring Families
This program is for parents and caregivers experiencing high conflict in co-parenting situations. The goal of this program is to create respectful communication tools and positive parenting approaches to foster healthy co-parenting relationships. Concurrent group sessions are offered separately for each parent, and children attend their own age-appropriate sessions.

Child Witness
Our Child Witness Program is for mothers/caregivers who have experienced abuse in their relationship, and their children who have been impacted by the violence. Children and adolescents, aged 4 to 16, meet in small age-appropriate groups to discuss the impact of the abuse they witnessed against their mother. At the same time, mothers/caregivers attend their own separate sessions to address the impact of abuse on their children and themselves.

Current Programs
“Healing Hearts: A Supportive Journey for Dads” is a 10-week psychoeducational group program that helps men who have used violence in their relationships examine trauma and how it affects their children and families. Participants will learn about trauma, the life-long impact trauma has on individuals exposed to it, and will develop strategies to support their children in healing using a variety of trauma-informed parenting techniques.
