It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Nova Vita as our elves prepare for the Residents’ Christmas party, toy workshop, and Santa’s arrival. The kids in the shelter are getting excited and writing their Christmas lists as we speak. But without the help of our community, the families living in our shelter would not be able to have a safe and brighter holiday. They often come to the shelter with nothing but the clothes on their backs. At Christmas, this can be especially difficult as they are away from their homes, families, and presents from holidays gone by.
At Nova Vita, we strive to make the holidays a little brighter for our residents and the families we support in the community. We act as Santa’s helpers to make sure the children are not forgotten. Santa has a workshop at Nova Vita where our busy elves sort and wrap toys around the clock to make sure each child has something under the tree for Christmas. If you would like to help make someone’s Christmas brighter, below is a list of suggested gift items.
