Join us on March 8th as we come together to share inspiring stories that will empower women to personal and professional growth, while we celebrate those in our our community who want to #PressforProgress. The night will be filled with something for everyone, including a 3 course dinner, silent auction, and featuring:

  • Keynote Speaker, Tonia Jahshan – Founder of Steeped Tea Inc. Her company has made the Profit 500 list of Canada’s fastest growing companies for the past 5 years and appeared on season 7 of Dragon’s Den. Tonia was Chatelaine’s W100 #1 Female Entrepreneur of Canada in 2016.

  • Closet Couture Runway of Inspiration – Featuring family of friends of Nova Vita to share their stories and strut their stuff dressed head to toe in fashions from Closet Couture Boutique.

March 8th is a global movement!

International Women’s Day is a day for everyone to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Since the first day it was honoured in 1911, the world has experienced a significant shift towards women’s equality. But there is more work to do. This year’s global theme #PressforProgress urges us to continue moving forward and NOW is the time.

Join the movement and support your local women’s shelter!

With support from businesses and individuals in our community, Nova Vita can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by domestic violence and homelessness. Last year, we helped 259 women and children living in our emergency shelter and answered 4,560 calls on our 24-hour crisis support line. At Nova Vita, safety for women and their families is always at the heart of the work we do – captured best by a client’s simple statement, “Nova Vita saved my life.”

Make a difference!

Get involved and show your support for gender equality and the important work that Nova Vita is doing for our community – attend the celebration, become a sponsor, host your organization with a corporate table, and spread the word on social media that your are dedicated to making a difference by standing tall with @SupportNovaVita against domestic violence.
